Discrete Capacitors Voltage in a Suspension Insulator Strain.
To perform the calculations described here, the following formulas are satisfied, and used to construct a matrix used to solve for \(V_i \text{i in range(1,n)}\).
\[\sum_{i=1}^{n-2} V_{i} + V_{n-1} \cdot (1+m) - V_{n} \cdot m=0\]\[\sum_{i=1}^{n} V_{i} = V_{\text{transmission line}}\]- Parameters:
number_capacitors (int) – Number of disk capacitors hung to transmission line
capacitance_ratio (float) – Ratio of disk capacitance and pin to pole air capacitance
Voltage (float) – Voltage difference between the transmission line and ground
- Returns:
string_efficiency (float) – String efficiency of capacitive disks
capacitor_disk_voltages (float) – Voltage across each capacitive disk starting from top to bottom
